About Teri
As President of Carson Group, Teri focuses on improving efficiency and supporting the long-term vision of the company, translating that vision into an actionable strategy and tangible properties that get us there.
The first female executive at the firm, Teri has been a key role model for women throughout the company for the past nine years. Her efforts at Carson, in her local community, and within the industry have been recognized by countless publications, including InvestmentNews (Women to Watch), Financial Planning (Top Women in Asset Management), the Stevies (Female Executive of the Year), and WatersTechnology (Gender Equality Professional of the Year). Teri’s personal goal is to increase the number of female advisors in our profession, and she is succeeding.
Throughout her career, Teri has had many accomplishments, including the launch of Carson Partners, which has grown to 140+ advisory firm locations. She currently leads the operations, technology, compliance and legal teams that oversee these firms and ensures they are positioned to thrive and grow.
Beyond this, Teri has made certain that Carson improves the ratio of female leaders at the Executive level. In the past year alone, she has helped add three additional females to the leadership team.
Teri is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences, and has made appearances at TD LINC, Barron’s Women Advisor Summit and Excell. She is looking ahead with a few projects already in the works, exploring ways to elevate females both within Carson and throughout the industry.
Prior to joining the Carson team, Teri held the position of Executive VP, CFO and COO at an independent broker dealer, RIA and insurance company for 10 years, as well as the Corporate Controller of a publicly traded biotech firm for two years. She graduated from the University of Nebraska–Kearney with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Outside of the office, Teri loves to spend time with her husband and three sons. She and her family enjoy camping, water skiing and playing sports.
